A useful photograph helps readers understand a space, but does not establish its dimensions or the condition of its services on its own. Before uploading listing images, check their relationship to the advertised unit, their date and their descriptions. Use this checklist to organise work between the photographer and publisher, rather than as a promise of increased sales.

Example: what does a room image tell us?
This illustration shows furniture and a window, but does not establish the room's area, orientation or noise level. Do not use this stock image as a photograph of a unit offered for sale. A suitable educational caption is “Living room with a sofa, tables and a window.” Describing a quiet room of a specific size would require other evidence.
Filenames and alternative text
Choose a room-related filename without personal information and add concise alternative text describing the image. Avoid repeating keywords in every photograph. If several views show one room, explain how they differ; ten similar shots are not a substitute for a clear kitchen or entrance image.
After upload, open the listing and check that images belong to the right unit, load correctly and retain the meaning of their captions after cropping. Keep originals and a change record.
